The Vet microphone is a new microphone developed by Shakey Joe. It has a different response & tonal character. It's frequency range is not as wide as normal Dynamic mics. It reproduces in the 35 - 6,000 Hz range, so it has less head room. This has a dynamic effect on its voice. The contour of the mics body is more round which helps in getting a good airtight cup. It has an awesome big sound, great feel, more like traditional bullet type mics, but it only weighs 4 ounces, due to its thermo resin casing. The volume pot has a smooth rotation, and comes out the backside. This mic has good feedback resistance and is a joy to use.
It has been designed the same as all of our mics, "by harp players for harp players". It's the real deal. Cast metal alloy body with a black crinkle powder coat finish, and high output crystal element. Solid hand cast pewter grille and a special 1/4" guitar type input connector. This is one high output microphone, with over the edge dynamics and a truck load of harmonic overtones. The RR rejects feedback just like the rest of our Shaker mics. Not to the same extent, but we believe better than any other bullet mic made.
